Curriculum

St.Christopher's Special School follows the National Primary School Curriculum with the new Primary Language Curriculum and Primary Maths curriculum implemented in our Primary Level Classes. Currently all of our post-primary level pupils participate in the Junior Cycle L1LP/ L2LP programmes. The recent publication of the new Senior Cycle L1LP and L2LP programmes will provide an age appropriate curriculum for Senior post-primary pupils who have achieved their Junior Cycle learning outcomes and are ready to move on to an age appropriate curriculum. This will be introduced for the pupils of our Senior Classes over the coming school year. We favour a holistic approach to learning, with highly individualised planning and multi-sensory teaching strategies that focus on meeting the individual needs of our pupils.
